Test bench – Battery Safety Lab – STELLANTIS

Customer request:

• Create a test device capable of inducing thermal runaway in a battery pack to observe its behavior inside lithium-ion batteries.
• And construct a building to house it, while taking into account all risks (explosion, pollution, etc.).

Solution implemented by Industrelec :

• Turnkey project covering the entire engineering and production cycle of a safe test bench. It aims to control all these risks
• Studies and design, regulatory procedures (permits, DREAL), site development, civil engineering and construction
• Firing range design and construction: Electrical and mechanical installations, firing and immersion systems

• Design and implementation of chemical abatement systems for flue gas treatment, gas distribution and analysis
• Project also integrates automation and IT, fire systems, regulatory controls and maintenance
• The installation complies with a level 3 chemical testing laboratory classification.
